By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information Collected Automatically
- Anonymous User ID: We use Supabase Anonymous Authentication to create a unique, anonymous identifier for each user. No email address, password, or personal information is required to use the App.
- Usage Data: We collect anonymous usage information (e.g., features used, frequency of use) to improve the App and enforce rate limits.
- Subscription Data: If you subscribe to premium features, RevenueCat (our subscription management provider) processes your purchase. We receive a record of your subscription status but do not have access to your payment details (credit card number, billing address).
2.2 Information You Provide
- Pet Profile:You may optionally provide your dog's name, breed, and age group. This information is stored locally on your device and in your anonymous profile.
- Voice Recordings: When using the voice translation feature, audio recordings are sent to our servers for AI processing. Recordings are processed in real-time and are not stored on our servers after translation is complete.
- Photos: When using AI scan features (Breed ID, Dog Twin, Mood Scan, Dog Outfits), photos are sent to our servers for AI analysis. Photos are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored on our servers.
2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- Email addresses or passwords (no account registration required)
- Real names or contact information
- Location data
- Contacts or address book
- Browsing history
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the App's features and functionality
- To process AI-powered translations and scans
- To manage your subscription and credit balance
- To enforce rate limits and prevent abuse
- To improve the App and develop new features
- To respond to support inquiries
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase: Backend infrastructure and anonymous authentication (Privacy Policy)
- RevenueCat: Subscription management and in-app purchase processing (Privacy Policy)
- OpenAI: AI-powered image analysis and content generation (Privacy Policy)
- ElevenLabs: AI-powered audio generation (Privacy Policy)
5. Data Storage and Security
Your pet profile, recordings, and scan results are stored locally on your device using encrypted local storage. Your anonymous user ID and usage data are stored securely on Supabase servers with Row-Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring that each user can only access their own data. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest.
6. Data Retention
Voice recordings and photos submitted for AI processing are not stored after processing is complete. Usage logs are retained for rate-limiting purposes and are periodically purged. Your anonymous profile and subscription data are retained as long as the App is installed. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since we use anonymous authentication and do not collect personal information, the App may be used by individuals of any age under parental supervision.
8. Your Rights
Since we use anonymous authentication and do not collect personally identifiable information, most data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) do not apply to the anonymous data we collect. However, you have the right to:
- Delete all local data by uninstalling the App
- Request deletion of your anonymous profile by contacting us
- Opt out of any future analytics tracking
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
